BIOGRAPHY:

Solomon was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. He derives his inspiration mainly from nature, and from the the numerous experiences from his travels.

His current body of work explores many themes from his personal experiences which resonate with many on a global scene; love, identity, sexuality, alienation, discrimination, celebration, as well as other experiences he has faced as a foreigner in a new land, and being "different" in his own home country."If anything, I want the viewer to leave feeling happiness, confidence, and above all being aware of their identity and authentic self. Often we get so caught up in daily activities, that we forget to ask ourselves important questions like; Who am I? What are my beliefs? What do I stand for? and How can I contribute to this universe during my tenure here?

His series titled RWENDO/JOURNEY, is an ongoing body of work, that seeks to serve as a diary of his daily experiences, and the emotions evoked by these events. He aims to recreate the narrative of Africans; those at home and in the diaspora.
Solomon received formal training in Studio Art, with a focus in Painting at East Central University, Ada, Oklahoma, USA.
